Hold the Reins - September 10th - September 16th, 2026

This week runs on five numbers: 10, 37, 9, 19, and 56.

The number 10 is the Wheel of Fortune, the number of changing cycles, movement, turning points, and circumstances that refuse to remain still. It appears through the year and again when 37 reduces to 10, making movement and change an important part of the week.

The number 37 combines 3 and 7. Three is the Empress, creation, growth, and bringing something into form. Seven is the Chariot, travel, movement, shifting, rising above obstacles, Spirit over mind and mind over matter. Like the soul in Plato’s Phaedrus, it must manage competing forces of light and darkness within itself and hold the reins well enough to move in one balanced, strategically authentic direction.

The number 9 is the Hermit, the inward search for truth away from outside noise. His light represents the truth discovered within rather than an answer borrowed from someone else

The number 19 is the Sun, clarity and rebirth after the darkness of the soul’s struggle. It does not need to know where the road will lead tomorrow. It understands that today it is where it needs to be and follows the inner light of the awakened Christos as the path reveals itself moment by moment.

The number 56 begins with 5, the Hierophant, where the inner Divine confronts us with what we already know and believe. We must either live by it or betray ourselves. There is no neutral choice. Six, the Lovers, is the soul, unity, inner balance, integration, and creation. What survives the challenge of 5 becomes unified and lived through 6.

Reduced down, 56 becomes 11, Justice. Justice is disinterested truth. It removes fear, assumptions, projections, suspicions, excuses, and rationalizations until only the self-evident facts remain. Those facts are acted upon clearly, but with empathy and the recognition that under different pressures any of us could become the person standing on the wrong side of the scales.
